Banana Cake

I have looked at lots of different recipes for banana cakes and in the end I came up with this, and I gave it a try ! It seemed to work really well, and as my aunty Rhian is a HUGE fan of banana cake, she willingly tested it for me and said it was delicious !

Ingredients

100g margarine
100g  Caster Sugar
2 Eggs
100g Allinson self raising flour
2 medium ripe bananas ( They have more flavour when they are starting to turn black )

Method

Preheat oven to 190c and grease or line a small loaf tin

Cut your bananas into slices and mash or whisk them to a make a fairly smooth mix ( but not too watery )

Mix the margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy

Slowly start adding in the eggs and flour

Put in the banana and mix all your ingredients together

Pour your mix into your loaf tin and put in the oven for about 50 mins

Because the oven is hot, always ask a grown up to check your cake for you. My mum checked the cake was ready by putting a skewer through the middle. If it comes out clean ( and doesn't have gloopy cake mix on it ), then it is ready to come out of the oven.

The mix kept bursting open as it was cooking but this is normal so don't panic ( like me hehe ) !!

To let your cake cool, put it on a wire rack

Once it has cooled down, it is ready to eat so either eat it plain or spread lots of yummy butter on it for a very delicious snack...yum

Enjoy x
